This family safari is ideal for small children, from 5 years onward. It includes a combination of safari experiences while visiting Nairobi National Park, Ol Pejeta Conservancy and the Naboisho Conservancy, part of the Greater Masai Mara. It will allow for wonderful game viewing, unforgettable family moments shared while being inspired by the tranquility of the Kenyan wilderness.
This trip is based on a family of 4 traveling, (2 adults and 2 children aged 5-12) sharing a family unit. The price indicated is for the family unit (not per person).
On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, collect your luggage and pass customs to exit the terminal and meet our driver for the transfer to Ololo Safari Lodge.
The lodge is a mere 45-minute drive through the park from Nairobi and both main airports, yet the lodge's secluded location feels like a world away. Set on a productive 20 acre working farm, Ololo offers the joys of delicious ‘paddock to plate’ fresh ingredients.
Children can run around in the gardens, swim in the pool, help the staff to care for the chickens, before the afternoon game drive. Wildlife is right on our doorstep and all can enjoy breathtaking views over the national park, to the famed Ngong Hills in the west, sundowner in hand. Where else in the world can you watch giraffes with a view of the skyscrapers in the background? Back at the lodge for dinner and night.

After breakfast, meet with the safari guide and road transfer to Ol Pejeta conservancy, about 3.5 hours away.
Situated in the foothills of snow-capped Mount Kenya in central Kenya’s Laikipia County, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a trailblazer in conservation, most famous for protecting the world’s last two northern white rhinos. Across the 36,400-hectare conservancy, you might spot lion prowling the plains, giraffe and elephant munching on whistling thorn trees, cheetah scanning for prey or even elusive wild dog and leopard. It’s one of the largest black rhino sanctuaries in East Africa.
Ol Pejeta offers a huge range of activities and is ideal for active families, making it one of the best places to visit in Kenya.
Your 2 nights include all your meals, selected beverages and the game viewing in the conservancy. Chat to us before the trip, or to your safari guide if you wish to add an excursion to see the chimps, lion tracking, visit the canine antipoaching unit (additional entrance fees required).

Early morning breakfast and road transfer to the airstrip on time for your flight to the Mara (could be via Wilson depending on airline's schedule).
On arrival in the Mara, you are transferred to the lodge. Your 3 nights stay at Encounter Mara includes all your meals, selected beverages and the shared game drives (morning and afternoon with possibility of night game drives). The conservancy is known for its prolific wildlife and award-winning sustainability model that balances the needs of local communities, wildlife and tourism. It has an even higher density of animals than the neighboring Masai Mara National Reserve and one of the world’s most concentrated lion populations.
The lodge is fenced, making it ideal for families, and children can run around on the large lawn surrounding the main area, or spend some time at the hide to look out for the birds or local wildlife. From the camp’s outdoor viewing deck, you can watch zebras amble to the nearby saltlick, see a giraffe strut right past camp, glimpse a mongoose running down the path right in front of you or even spot a cheetah prowling the plains. Over sundowners around the campfire, listen for lions calling to each other as they start their night of hunting.
