The majority of wildbeest and zebra have now left the Ndutu area but strangely, there are still random large groups scattered all over.
I came over the triangle yesterday and the plains and skyline was still full. Hamisi reports that yesterday large numbers were streaming into Two trees and frontier forest area coming from Simyu direction. They are also still scattered across the plains around Twin Hills.
We are still getting rain at Ndutu and Olduvai, with 6mm over the lodge yesterday and much more out on the Triangle plains and at the marshes. We are enjoying them while we can and hoping to keep all our new cheetah and lion cubs well fed for a while yet.
