From the outset the person who dealt with my booking was just so helpful, I knew what I wanted from my trip but had no idea how to go about it. We were debating whether to book via an agent or do it ourselves as we are looking for malaria free safari. Glad we booked with Discover Africa Safari, you cannot beat local knowledge. We were in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Madikwe Hill Game Reserve. They tailor-made our trip including hotels private transfers and flights, and luxuries all the way. Adelle informed the hotels about my leg injury and we were given easily accessible rooms. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

Discover Africa curated a spectacular safari trip for me. It was my very first safari in Africa (solo traveler), and I didn’t have many specific suggestions other than wanting a genuine safari experience in Botswana with a focus on animals. I put my trust in the hands of Antoinette, one of Discover Africa’s travel experts. She created an amazing itinerary that allowed me to visit three different places in Botswana: Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park, as well as the famous Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side. I also had the opportunity to experience accommodation in both camps and lodges to determine what best suited me.

I love nature and don’t feel comfortable in overcrowded places. The diversity of animals was breathtaking. The accommodation was luxurious while blending nicely into the bush environment. Everything went very smoothly, from my airport pickup to my departure home. The quality of accommodation, food, service, and management—particularly at Leroo La Tau and Camp Moremi—was among the kindest I have ever encountered.

I highly recommend Discover Africa as your tour operator. I will definitely work with them in the future.

Discover Africa Safaris organized a perfect tailor-made experience for us. They understood our needs well and were by far the most flexible, the most proactive and the fastest.

The safari was fantastic, and Cape Town was amazing. My only regrets, it was not the best time of the year to go, and they could have warned us better. The flat in Cap town was noisy as too close to the road.

My wife and I wanted to visit South Africa and knew it had plenty of different hot spots to visit, however, we weren’t sure what locations to choose or what hotel accommodations to stay at. After reaching out to Diane at Safari Bookings, she set up a phone call with us and asked us everything we’d like to do while in the country. A few days later, she had set up the perfect itinerary for what we were looking for.

It included everything from in-country flights to hotel reservations, as well as scheduled transportation.

We just returned from our trip and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything went. Everything that Diane set up for us was spot on for what we were looking at. Could not recommend enough!

Two 70-something widows wanted adventure, comfort and security, plentiful and up close game sightings, pleasant weather, no bugs, gourmet food, luxe accommodations in an intimate setting and memories for a lifetime. Not much to ask of a safari in South Africa, hmmm?

We worked with Susan Swanepoel from Discover Africa and had superior service and support from her before and during the trip. Susan recommended the full itinerary including a guided tour on the Panoramic route, two great Safari lodges in Kruger National Park, and the flight to Cape Town.

We booked the tour with Susan and loved it. All went smoothly and was well organized. All our drivers were knowledgeable, professional and punctual. Safari was amazing and our guides were excellent. Susan even checked us in for the flight from Kruger to Cape Town and checked with us several times throughout our trip, addressing questions, etc., to make sure everything went to plan.

We would happily recommend Susan and Discover Africa to anyone who is looking to plan Safari and South Africa travel. We’d definitely work with Susan again next time we plan to come to South Africa

We set up a trip to visit Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls. That was a lot to squeeze into two weeks, but we wouldn’t have dropped anything off, just stayed a little longer so we would have had a minimum of 2 nights at every stop. The highlights were wine tasting in Stellenbosch, touring Cape Town, our fabulous stay off the grid in the Okavango Delta, game drives in Chobe, and seeing Victoria Falls.

We had a group of 16 so no small task to get an itinerary that suited all, but Susan was very patient as we had to shift dates due to school schedules. We had 7 children in our group and everyone along the way was very accommodating. Our group was very compatible, however, so all in all we enjoyed the camaraderie.

No big issues along the way – just some minor problems. Some of us got sick for a day but it passed quickly and we only had to drop off a game drive or two. The food was wonderful and every place we stayed at set up one big table where we could dine together. Susan kept in close contact along the way and fixed a few things for us. The trip was great value for the money! Can’t wait to go back!!

Using Discover Africa was a great decision. Their website had plenty of details and pictures to explain and show what they were offering. The various safaris listed had prices listed though they were from the previous year but it did give me a ballpark figure that allowed me to make a more informed decision. Also, when I finally did contact them about the trip, I got a timely reply and was set up to speak with Megan who would arrange the trip. She was very informative and listened to my requests regarding the trip (travel style, animals I wished to see). Fortunately, I was flexible with my dates and Megan was very good at coordinating my final date choice. Megan was very good at keeping me updated on my trip status and answered any questions I had before the trip (most communication was through email).

Considering what the final price was, in the end, I felt it was an excellent deal. All staff (driver-guide, lodge staff) were extremely friendly and helpful. Our guide was knowledgeable and experienced but fun as well. Being a single traveler was not a problem, and in the end, it worked out perfectly with the other 5 members of my group. And turns out the other 5 members were friendly, intelligent and fun as well, we got along very well.

FYI: I chose the 10-day safari going through Tanzania and Kenya

Megan was fantastic from start to finish and planned our honeymoon exactly to our brief. Everything was excellent- communication, flexibility, transfers, hotels and safari!
Would highly recommend it!

We had an incredible experience using Discover Africa. Our amazing travel specialist was Megan, who listened to us and put together options that suited our multi-generational 8 day safari adventure to Botswana’s Okavango Delta ending with a visit to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The camps and lodges we stayed had such welcoming staff and knowledgeable guides. Our connections between camps were seamless. This was a huge trip for our family and we are so glad we worked with Megan to organize everything for us. We couldn’t have asked for better guidance and support. I’d definitely work with them again!
