Overlooking a quiet stretch of river, Emboo River sits in a private location within the Masai Mara. This intimate, sustainably run camp features a collection of river suites with interiors styled in soft earth tones and colourful touches inspired by the lilac-breasted roller.
Each suite comes with a private deck that opens out towards the river, ideal for birdwatching or simply unwinding to the sounds of nature. Locally made furniture and natural materials give the rooms a warm feel, while floor-to-ceiling netting lets in the breeze. The entire camp runs on solar energy, including a fleet of electric safari vehicles (the first in Kenya), while vertical hydroponic gardens supply fresh produce and a biogas unit transforms food waste into energy. All water is filtered and reused through UV treatment, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
