They organized everything for our first visit to Africa, from the airport meet & greet through to the tours, great hotels and locations. Great tour suggestions, well thought out and perfectly executed.

Megan arranged a wonderful tour of South Africa and Botswana for us. The hotels and safari lodges were first class. We especially liked the Chobe Game Lodge and the Fairlawn Boutique Hotel.

The safaris were unforgettable.

We viewed lots of lion action from the Chobe Game Lodge and lots of hippos from the Xugana Island Lodge. We also had a great time taking the Rovos Rail from Cape Town to Pretoria.

It was an unforgettable experience.

I am giving below my feedback about all aspect of the trip from 24th May to 5th June, 2016.

a) Accommodation at Johannesburg, Victoria Falls, Skukuza Rest Camp, Kruger National Park and Cape Town was well located with comfortable rooms as per our requirements.

b) Transfers and Tours at all places was on time and we did have not much of a problem.

c) Flights booked for various places were on time and we were able to maintain our schedule.

d) Two Dinner arrangements at Johannesburg and Cape Town was satisfactory. I have only following comments which if amended will help other travelers.

1) Guide at Victoria Falls was not very helpful. We had to spend some funds to cross the Bridge by walk. I am not sure why this was not included.

2) Kruger National Park – Safari timing during Morning and evening appears to be on fixed irrespective of seasonal variation. This resulted lots of time in movement in darkness which was a waste. This can be easily rectified if Kruger National Park changes Safari timings as per Sun rise and Sun set.

3) Wine Tour at Cape Town should have been included. You ultimately accommodated us at an extra cost. I once again like to convey my sincere gratitude and thanks to you and Discover Africa for arranging this wonderful trip for eight Senior Citizens from India and UK having ages 70+.

I shall definitely recommend Discover Africa and particularly you whenever any of my family and friends plans trip to South Africa and nearby countries.

We first reached out to two agencies when we were looking to book our trip to South Africa. They didn’t really answer our questions and took days to respond. One actually stopped responding altogether and we gave up after 3-4 follow ups.

Then a friend recommended Discover Africa. She and her daughter both used them for their separate trips and both were very happy with the service. They certainly did not disappoint.

Megan Warrington, our agent with Discover Africa, was… IS amazing! She responded right away and answered all (TONS and TONS!) of our questions fully and clearly. We never waited long for a response and the only things that held up responses were the time difference and both of our office hours.

We gave her our desired travel dates, list of activities we’d like to do, accommodation types and a budget (a pretty low one at that) and she made it all happen! She revised the itinerary per our requests several times and seemed happy to do it every time. There were 5 travelers in our group and she accommodated every single one of our requests. They also provide all the information (contacts, tips, etc.) leading right up to the trip for everything we would need should we have any questions or issues before, during and after our trip.

The trip itself was unbelievable! They really put together an amazing itinerary for us and we did not have any complications with anything. The lodges were great, the safaris were amazing, all the transfers were on time, everything was just as the itinerary explained it would be.

This trip far exceeded our expectations and it was all thanks to Discover Africa and Megan Warrington (and of course our friend that made the recommendation)!

The tour was excellent. It has exceeded our expectations.

The tour Guide and driver were very professional, friendly, and so helpful. It was a trip of a lifetime for me and my husband. I have recommended this company to all my friends, Megan Warrington was so accommodating and very helpful, she is always available to provide advice.

I am very happy to have dealt with this company. Their reputation is above excellent, 10 stars!!!!

It took one e-mail to Discover Africa (very friendly and competent staff), one phone call for details and one phone call for minor modifications and in the end we had a perfect holiday experience – a magical Botswana safari as they titled it. The self-driving tour (4×4 camper) included Kalahari, the pans, Okavango, Victoria falls, Tuli block.

In detail we have been at some fantastic spots we would have missed without their recommendations. The pre-organized accommodation (on campgrounds in our camper, in tented camps, in hotels and in luxury safari lodges) turned out as a mixture tailored to us.

Summary: Discover Africa organized a perfect trip for us.

Every one was so helpful in making the arrangements. The booking people helped in all the questions we had, they were polite and helpful. The tour and lodge were amazing. Every one was helpful and very interesting to talk to. They made our stay homey and welcoming.

Our trip was arranged by Carel Verhoef at discoverafrica.com and was perfectly organised.

We flew into the Masai Mara from Nairobi and all flight connections and transfers were arranged for us and went like clockwork. Carel was also very generous with his advice having lived in East Africa for some years – he is a mine of useful information.

My wife and I have had this trip to see the wildebeest migration on our bucket list for some time and we decided to go this year to coincide with our wedding anniversary. For that reason we were looking for something special yet reasonably priced and Carel helped us find Mara Ngenche. What a spectacularly good choice that was.

We stayed for 5 nights the camp and were extremely well looked after. The staff are fantastic. Our waiter, Steve, learnt what food we liked and didn’t like and was always on hand with a glass of wine and also taught us some Swahili! The Masai guards who escorted us to & from our tent especially Musanga, Karbolo & Lindeni were always on hand, very polite and interesting. Almost everyone speaks excellent English.

The game drive vehicle that we used was completely open at the top and sides and was very comfortable. We had some fabulous sightings with Joseph, our very experienced driver/guide. He was excellent at anticipating the animal’s movements to ensure good photos. In one afternoon we saw the Big 5 and on another occasion 4½, as we could only see the leopard’s tail that time.

The position of the camp on the confluence of two rivers was so relaxing and we often sat on the deck watching the 30 or so hippos all day, even though they didn’t move very much. Breakfasts and lunches were served under the trees beside the river. Dinner, served in the restaurant, was four courses and was beautifully prepared and presented.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip and the staff at Mara Ngenche made it more than special. When it came time to leave, my wife cried because she didn’t want to go. Of all the holidays we’ve had over the years, this has been our most memorable.

We went on Safari to Phinda Game Reserve which was our choice as was the the choice of 2 nights on the Rovos train. Our agent was quite happy with helping us with anything we requested. We worked out dates of where we wanted to be and when and for how long and Meagan was very helpful in getting the whole trip to work in. She worked especially well with us as we chose to make some bookings ourselves and she fell in with we wanted to do.

We would not hesitate in recommending Discover Africa to friends who are looking to spend time in your part of the world.
