I explored Honeymoon options through Discover Africa. Although our plans ended up changing and thus we didn’t book through them, the quality of service was incredible.

Personal, truly catering to what we are looking for (as opposed to templated options being sent to us) as well as prompt responses – all you could hope for through a travel agency.

For over 2 years my wife and I worked with Megan at Discover Africa to assemble our dream safari itinerary. After some back and forth in 2019 we quickly realized that our dream trip was out of our budget so we held off for a year to make sure we could afford to take the exact trip we wanted. Megan was patient, checking in periodically, and was immediately responsive when we reinitiated the discussion in 2020. She provided recommendations to us from her personal experience and answered any and all questions we had. Once booked, payment was simple with an initial deposit and scheduled date for when payment would be due.

Then COVID hit. Throughout 2020 Megan continually checked in and provided the most updated information she could for the various countries we’d be visiting. Eventually, we found out that due to COVID restrictions our October 2020 trip would have to be rescheduled. Within what felt like an instant, Megan already had the trip we originally designed rebooked and confirmed for 2021. Throughout 2021 we kept in touch and as the trip drew near Megan took charge on identify testing requirements and coordinating the arrangement of tests for us.

During the actual trip, everything was seamless as Megan had arranged. The places she found for us were absolutely perfect for what we wanted. We felt completely prepared for what to expect, what to bring with us, local customs, etc. She provided her personal contact information in the event that we encountered an issue, which we did not. We’ve never been so sad for a trip to end! My wife and I both agreed that this trip felt more like a vacation than any other trip we’ve taken, and we owe it all to Megan and the Discover Africa team for their arrangements and assistance in booking and coordinating our dream safari.

We had an incredible safari that started perfectly at our take off airport and continued seamlessly until we arrived back home. We were taken care of by very wonderful and knowledgeable guides and the staff at the lodges were very nice. We ate great food. The safaris were excellent and each camp had a different focus that we enjoyed.

We went to Victoria Falls Safari Club, Chobe Game Lodge, Camp Xakanaxa, Camp Okavango, and Camp Leroo La Tau. We saw and learned about many animals, birds, and vegetation. We loved the variety and if I could change one thing it would be to stay longer at the camps. We have never done a safari before and Megan let us know how everything would work and that let us relax and enjoy Africa. We can not wait to return.

We also went to Cape Town and went on four activities. We enjoyed exploring the Wine Country, learning about Cape Town, and exploring the surrounding area and seeing penguins. We had a very personable and knowledgeable tour guide who made the tours fun. We also went cage diving with sharks and that was beyond belief. Megan listened to what we wanted to do and put together the trip of a lifetime. And, of course, I want to do it again.

Everything was perfectly organized. We can definitely recommend Discover Africa!

Megan was incredibly helpful and very responsive anytime we had questions or needed anything! She handled everything to make our trip run smoothly and we can’t thank her enough! The suggested safari locations and accommodations were amazing and any tour recommendations were superb as well!

How lucky we were to get Adelle Bell as our tour operator. We told her what we were looking for and she put together an amazing Kruger Safari for us. It was well organized and we had no problem with any arrangements , transfers, etc. All the lodges she chose for us, were excellent.

She really was excellent in answering questions, even changing travel arrangements when we needed to fly from Nelspruit to Cape Town and then back to Jhb. She was excellent! Thank you Adelle for making our trip so memorable !!

Megan arranged a trip that was exactly what we wanted. She kept in touch frequently, got us the best deal and the tour more than exceeded our expectations.

Discover Africa did a wonderful job in ensuring that all of our trip details were taken care of. Especially with all of the intricacies that Covid-19 placed on our trip, our vacation went extremely smoothly and every connection, pick-up, transfer and communication was well thought out and accounted for.

It is rare, in our experience, that there is not at least one “hiccough” in one’s travel plans, especially when the itinerary involves travel between multiple countries, each with their own Covid-19 protocols and requirements, but this trip went smoothly and every detail was considered and addressed.

Antoinette was extremely prompt with responses to questions and most anxious to provide options for all of our requests for tours. She communicated using telephone, email, text and What’s App, whatever was required to assure we had answers as promptly as possible. When we had to make last minute changes to tours because of flight delays, she was immediately on top of it, allowing us to see everything we originally scheduled, despite loss of a full day in Cape Town.

The guide service provided was exceptional. We had private tours for all events, allowing flexibility in timing and stops when we wanted. The Cape of Good Hope tour, the penguin colonies and Table Top Mountain gondola ride were amazing because of the knowledge of our guide.

Our Botswana Safari and Victoria Falls Elephant camps were of excellent quality with diversity between Okavango Delta and Moremi camps that allowed extraordinary wildlife sightings. The elephant encounter at Victoria Falls and our helicopter and guided tour of the falls allowed us to really see its full magnitude. There are so many wonderful things to say about Antoinette and Discover Africa.
