Learn about elephant behaviour and conservation by interacting with rescued elephants, feeling, touching and feeding these gentle giants
Humans have an affinity to elephants, no doubt about it. There’s something near-human about these gigantic mammals, and you’ll make that connection at Elephant Whispers at Hazyview in the Lowveld.
Elephant Whispers is set on the banks of the Sabi River on the 2,000-hectare Sandford Conservancy. Here, you'll meet six rescued African elephants ranging in age from 8 to 25, now at home in this haven where they’re treated with dignity. You'll experience a fascinating educational interactive experience where you’ll feel the elephants' constantly curious trunks, touch their rough skin, exchange trunk greetings and offer tasty treats, while learning about their behaviour and history from the elephant handlers.
