More on Diving & Snorkelling

The Red Sea in Egypt has two of the world's 10 best sites to dive while the Tanzanian coastline's marine life might be some of the most beautiful on the continent. Africa is well worth a visiting as a diving destination alone.

Thanks to the large number of dive sites, the waters are generally uncrowded and it's easy to become completely immersed in this underwater paradise. The reefs, wrecks and marine life are still largely unspoilt by development. The warm waters make diving off the tropical islands extremely comfortable, and while the diving sites to the south of the continent are much colder, they're easily enjoyed with the right equipment.

Cape Verde, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, and Tunisia are the best countries to visit for their marine life and diving is great year round.
