Sindabezi has only five open-sided thatched cottages, allowing guests to soak up the sights and sounds of the African bush in the perfect, pristine setting. Views across the flood plains of the Zambezi and into the nearby National Park complete the experience.

Ila Safari Lodge is a genuine eco-lodge offering top-notch amenities to up to 24 visitors. The lodge has 180-degree views of the river and is situated on the banks of the powerful Kafue River in a region with a variety of species. The centerpiece of our property, the central boma, is best characterized as “environmentally friendly meets dynamic design.”

Ten ultra-modern, five-star safari tents are located at the lodge, each placed on a deck that overlooks the Kafue River’s banks. Our 10 first-rate accommodations include 2 larger family suites. Each tent has been uniquely created to blend with the vegetation around it, offering seclusion, shade, and your very own piece of the Kafue wilderness.

Every comfort has been taken into account while designing the interiors and private decks in a sophisticated, modern African style. Every tent has an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor shower or bathtub. For the most pleasant night’s sleep, beds are exceptionally long. Mosquito nets are big and floppy, and they are lowered for you every night.

Vincent, the founder of Green Safaris, and his close friend Bert Meerstadt, a Dutch architect, were exploring the island in the Busanga Plains where the camp would be located when they began designing the Chisa Busanga Camp. They were walking together when they both turned to look up at a stunning bird’s nest. They both realized the design of this new camp would be nests in an instant and without speaking.

They wanted to in some way mimic the clever dwellings that weavers’ nests construct, but obviously on a greater scale for people. The objective was to provide distinctive and intriguing lodging as well as lovely areas where visitors might ponder the wonder and inventiveness of nature. However, they would soon be made aware of the fact that nature had millions of years to perfect her creations. They had no prior experience making nests at this point.

Jacob Shawa, the head professional guide at the camp, selected the location of Shawa Luangwa Camp, which is located on the eastern bank of the Luangwa River. From here, you can take a pontoon or boat across the river to visit the best South Luangwa National Park game viewing locations.

Sausage Tree Camp is the epitome of bush chic, set in a stunning location along the Zambezi River at the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park. The pristine location and Sausage Tree Camp offer all the game, all the luxury without all the people! Sleeping only 16 guests, Sausage Tree Camp offers a civilized approach to a true bush experience with lavish attention to detail. The central dining and bar area is fronted by an enormous teak deck overlooking the Zambezi River and low set reed islands teeming with game. The 25m Lap-pool is idyllically situated right on the edge of the riverbank, under shading Mahogany trees with outstanding views.
