The mountainous island of Mauritius, just east of Madagascar, is an unspoiled beach holiday destination and ideal for those looking for sunny skies, white sand beaches, and complete solitude.

Most tourists visit Mauritius between the summer months of October and April. The island has amazing weather all year round, with temperatures looming at around 30°C/86°F, but the rains usually appear from January to March, which cools things off.

If you’re not keen on the humid weather, Mauritius between July and September is ideal, with temperatures hovering around 25°C/77°F, perfect for outdoor activities such as snorkeling or hiking.
