Is the Mara West Camp for Me?
The camp was built in a traditional safari design, and with its many natural materials and warm earth colors, it provides a cozy ambiance. Mara West Camp’s strength, in addition to its unusual setting, is its outstanding service and comfort in the heart of the wilderness.
Being situated on the Oloololo Escarpment west of Masai Mara National Reserve, Mara West Camp offers stunning and endless views of the vast Masai Mara plains. The park gate is only a few minutes drive from the camp.
The restaurant is located in the main building and has an African theme. The restaurant serves a variety of fresh and skillfully prepared food as a menu or as a buffet. The wooden terrace, with its wide sunshades and built-in fireplace, is excellent for kicking back and relaxing both during the day and at night.
The camp has three accommodation categories, each with a distinct level of quality.
The six luxury tented cabins are outfitted with high-quality furnishings and each has an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet and a large shower.
The magnificent environment with its wandering animals, as well as spectacular and memorable sunrises, may be seen from the private veranda.
There are also 20 more basic safari tents with their own private bathroom, which has a flush toilet and hot showers. The 20 bandas, where you sleep in smaller circular tents covered by grass shelters, are the most primitive choice for staying at Mara West Camp. The bath and shower rooms are adjacent to the bandas and are frequently shared.
