Day 1 - Johannesburg - Pretoria

Upon arrival at the airport you collect your rental and explore what Johannesburg has to offer. Discover the township of Soweto, which is a symbol of the New South Africa. Soweto still openly bears the scars of Apartheid and yet shows reliance for a better future.

The Apartheids Museum tracks the country's political progression and illustrates its rise and fall by telling the story of the triumph of the human spirit over adversity.

After spending the day in Johannesburg, you drive on to Pretoria, where you spend the night.

Overnight at Premier Hotel Pretoria (Deluxe Room) or similar/alternative hotel.

Day 2-3 - Pretoria - Pilanesberg National Park

Today begins with a journey to Pilanesberg National Park. The park is perched on the eroded vestiges of an alkaline volcanic crater. Prior to its proclamation as a reserve the area was degraded and exterminated of indigenous wildlife due to intense settlement and commercial use. Considerable effort has been made to restock the area with game and remove the scars of human settlement.

Today Plianesberg is one of the top game viewing spots in South Africa. Spend your time on game drives and experience the plethora of resettled wildlife.

Overnight at Ivory Tree Game Lodge (Standard Suite) or similar/alternative hotel.

Day 4-6 - Pilanesberg National Park - Sun City

The road takes you to Sun City today. This one of a kind entertainment resort draws thousands of visitors each year. It offers a wide variety of facilities and activities which include:

• The Valley of Waves: One of the world most exciting water parks.
• The Entertainment Centre: Like to gamble? This is where you should be found!
• Game Tracking: Experience some more of South Africa’s wildlife by booking a hot-air balloon ride or get really close to nature and ride on the back of an elephant.
• Golf Courses: Tee off on a top quality golf course.

Enjoy these optional activities at your leisure.

Overnight at The Cascades Hotel (Luxury Twin Room) or similar/alternative hotel.

Day 7 - Sun City - Johannesburg

Before heading back to Johannesburg, a visit to the Lesedi Cultural Village is highly recommended. It reveals the mystical cultures and traditions of the people of Africa, steeped in tribal folklore and ancestral traditions.

Later, return to Johannesburg, where the tour comes to an end.
