Day 1-2 - Windhoek - Namib Desert - Sossusvlei
The trip begins with a flight over the Great Escarpment into an area in the Namib Desert marked by some of the highest dunes on earth. Relax in the tranquil area, or go on a guided trip to Sossusvlei where the surface of the shimmering salt pans dance under the African sun.
Overnight at Sossusvlei Lodge (Twin room) or similar/alternative hotel.

Day 3-4 - Namib Desert - Swakopmund
If you missed out on a visit to Sossusvlei yesterday, now’s your chance to experience it. Rise early to watch the ever-changing landscape during sunrise. While you’re being mesmerized by the beauty of the sunrise, lend a thought to your camera: take a photo of the horizon; this is a moment you’re going to want to remember. After breakfast you’re off on a flight to Swakopmund. The flight takes you over the beautiful orange-red ripping sand dunes and glide along the Atlantic coastline. The ground below offers a handful of great sights: ancient shipwrecks, old diamond ghost mines, Langewand and Sandwich Harbour.
Once on land, you are free to explore Swakopmund at your own leisure. The town plays host to a variety of exciting activities are easy to organise on arrival. To satisfy your flare for adventure, go quad biking in the dunes or paraglide over them. For the less adventurous, take a sunrise or sunset hot-air balloon ride over the desert or enjoy a scenic boat cruise.

Day 5 - Swakopmund - Damaraland
Travel back to Windhoek by shuttle or Desert Express where you will take a flight into Damaraland, an area marked by steep mountains that tower over riverbeds and form the survival structure for desert elephant, black rhino and free-roaming antelope species.
Your evening’s accommodation is situated in close proximity to Twyfelfontein, which is Namibia’s only World Heritage Site. If you are in the mood to explore the surreal landscape in search of the elusive desert elephant, an optional guided game drive can be arranged.

Day 6-7 - Damaraland - Etosha National Park
Your short air transfer takes you to the southern edge of the magnificent Etosha National Park. Embark on an optional guided tour in one of Africa’s most prized national parks and amerce yourself in the natural environment of the areas wildlife.
The Etosha Pan is a vast saline desert that glistens majestically during the heat of the day. The Pan is surrounded by a number of waterholes that sustain over 114 different wildlife as well as 340 different bird species. On a game drive you stand to encounter four of the ‘Big Five’ as well as rare and endangered animals like the cheetah, sable and the Damara Dik-Dik (Namibia’s smallest antelope).

Day 8 - Etosha National Park - Windhoek
After a hearty breakfast, fly back to Windhoek, arriving in the late morning. This is where you bid the group farewell. Please discuss extension options to either South Africa or neighbouring countries with your tour consultant.
