Garden Route Guided Tour: PE to Cape Town
Day 1 - Port Elizabeth - Knysna
Leaving the airport at 13h00, the scenic route takes you to Knysna where you will arrive after sunset.
The calming ambience of the romantic seaside destination will be the sound track to your evening as you enjoy a delicious dinner at Knysna Hollow Country Estate.
Overnight at Knysna Hollow Country Estate (Twin room) or similar/alternative hotel.
Meals included: Dinner.
Day 2 - Knysna
Today, Knysna is your playground. Take a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon and visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve. It’s impossible to miss, but don’t forget to stop and enjoy the stunning view of the ‘Knysna Heads’ which guard the gateway into Knysna’s huge tidal lagoon, forests, marshes and beaches beyond. After lunch, you’re free to explore the romantic seaside resort at your leisure.

Day 3 - Knysna - Cango Caves - Oudtshoorn
This morning, the spectacular views of the Outeniqua Pass are to be enjoyed en route to Oudtshoorn. The centre of South Africa’s ostrich industry, Oudtshoorn is coined the ‘feather capital of the world’. After lunch, a tour of the ostrich farm enlightens us on these hardy, enigmatic creatures. Next, a journey underground takes us into a fascinating tour of one of South Africa’s most incredible natural wonders: the Cango Caves.
Overnight at Oudtshoorn Inn (Twin room) or similar/alternative hotel.

Day 4 - Oudtshoorn - Cape Town
A morning packed with the most beautiful views of stretching landscapes. In season, the road back to Cape Town passes via the seaside village of Hermanus, in hopes of catching a glimpse of southern right whales and frolicking dolphins. Out of season we will return to Cape Town along the scenic tourist route of ‘Route 62’.
