Day 1-2 - Cape Town
After arriving in the Mother City and picking up your rental vehicle, your discovery of Cape Town's beauty begins. Enjoy unique views on Table Mountain, see the beautiful white beach of Camps Bay or just go for a stroll at the V&A Waterfront.
Day two offers an experience of the stunning beauty of the Cape peninsula. Drive up to Cape Point and watch the brilliant penguin colony on Boulders Beach.
Overnight at Cape Town Lodge (Superior Room) or similar/alternative hotel.

Day 3 - Cape Town - Stellenbosch
Today it’s time to leave Cape Town behind and journey onward to Stellenbosch; famous for its wine estates. Wine lovers are provided with a stream of South Africa’s finest wines, and endless choice of excellent restaurants. Discover the region by visiting wine estates, go for a hike through the beautiful plantations or take a stroll in the historic town of Stellenbosch.
Overnight at The Devon Valley Hotel (Classic Room) or similar/alternative hotel.

Day 4-5 - Stellenbosch - Oudtshoorn
From Stellenbosch, your tour will lead you to Oudtshoorn, once the ostrich feather capital of the world.
Still today it’s all about the ostrich. Venture a visit to an ostrich farm, where you will gain interesting insight.
Only 30km away from Oudtshoorn you will find the famous Cango Caves. Those impressive dripstone caves will definitely leave an impression!
While staying in Oudtshoorn, why not drive along the Swartberg Pass, which is considered to be one of the most spectacular mountain passes in the world.

Day 6-7 - Oudtshoorn - Plettenberg Bay
Plettenberg Bay is your next stop. It is considered the jewel of The Garden Route offering tranquil charm and stunning landscapes. Visitors can explore miles of unspoilt golden beaches, dramatic rocky cliffs, breath-taking lagoons, impressive forests and unpolluted sea.
Plettenberg is located in the heart of the Garden Route and is therefore a perfect basis for optional day trips which include:
- Featherbed Nature Reserve
Featherbed is a privately owned Nature Reserve accessible by ferry only. It is a pristine piece of paradise offering splendid views over the Knysna Lagoon.
- Knysna Elephant Park
Meet African elephants and let experienced guides explain to you the emotional and mystical story of the Knysna Elephants. The elephants live in a controlled free-range environment. It is a unique opportunity to get closer to these friendly giants.
- Birds of Eden
This unique two-hectare dome offers an incredible variation of exotic birds. It spans over a gorge of indigenous forest and has its own ruin as well as a walk-behind waterfall.
- Monkeyland
This primate sanctuary is the top eco-tourism attraction along the Garden Route. Primates, who have previously been held in cages, are rehabilitated. Several species can move freely in the forest.
- Tsitsikamma National Park
Tsitsikamma is a khoi word meaning “place of abundant water”. Deep river gorges cleft the plateau as they flow down t the sea, showing how spectacular nature can be. Most parts of the park are covered in indigenous forest, commercial plantation and Fynbos which create perfect scenery for a nature hike.

Day 8 - Plettenberg Bay - Port Elizabeth
Today you drive up to South Africa’s second oldest city, Port Elizabeth. It offers great weather all year around, beautiful beaches and much more to discover. Why not use your day for a township tour and experience the colorful culture and high spirits of South Africa.

Day 9-10 - Port Elizabeth - Amakhala Game Reserve
It’s time to experience Africa’s wild side at the Amakhala Game Reserve. This 7000-hectare game reserve is the perfect place for an unforgettable safari in the most beautiful surroundings.
Enjoy your days spent at Amakhala where there is lots of game to spot, including lion, black & white rhino, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and many more.

Day 11 - Amakhala Game Reserve - Port Elizabeth
