    Getting There & Getting Around

    Getting To Sandton

    Gauteng car hire allows you to discover the city on your own terms. If you are self-driving from O.R. Tambo International Airport, after you exit the airport, follow R24 Johannesburg signs and the R24 to the Gillooly's Interchange, from here follow the N3 North towards Pretoria, take exit 124 (Sandton/M60 Marlboro Drive) turning left into Marlboro Drive, follow Marlboro Drive until the T-junction with Katherine Street, turn left into Katherine Street, and follow Katherine Street into Sandton.

    Cars can also be hired at the aiport with different range of rates and private taxis are always available on your way out of the airport. The Gautrain is also an easy and comfortable option when travelling from the airport to Sandton.

    Getting Around Sandton

    Getting around Sandton in Gauteng can be done via foot if exploring Sandton City, or via car or tour bus if continuing on to additional parts of Johannesburg. While Sandton is safer than most parts of Johannesburg, it is best to keep valuables safe and avoid walking around after dark or on your own.

    The Gautrain is a reliable public train service transporting passengers between Pretoria and Johannesburg and between OR Tambo International Airport and Sandton.

    This page is missing info about the Gautrain. The Gautrain is the easiest and quickest way to get into Johannesburg/Sandton from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport.
