Accommodation in Namibia
Accommodation in Namibia is every bit as varied as the country’s landscapes, with a broad range of options available. As the country consists of a great number of remote areas and game reserves, a large portion of Namibia accommodation is in the form of safari lodges, tented camps, luxury safari camps, game lodges and game farms. These venues range from 5-star establishments to simple yet comfortable farm style lodgings.
There are also a number of guest houses, guest farms and bed and breakfasts, especially in the small towns and rest stop areas within Namibia. The coastal areas such as Swakopmund and Walvis Bay are also dotted with bed and breakfasts.
Smart hotels may be available in Windhoek, but these are largely not very common in Namibia. Prices vary somewhat, with high season prices in the summer months from November to March and off season prices during the winter months from June to September. Guesthouses and smaller bed and breakfasts are usually the most affordable accommodation option, while safari lodges are closer to the higher end of the spectrum.
