The town even boasts a micro-brewery for those wanting to sample local beers. Food and entertainment is at its best in Kynsna on the whole, with plenty of live music, great restaurants and festivals throughout the year.
Scenery encompasses lush natural forests, steep rugged cliffs, vast blue oceans and plenty of quaint harbour scenes.

Of all the destinations along the Garden Route, Knysna is possibly the most well-known. This relaxed coastal town is a haven for tourism, with a large number of natural, cultural and entertainment attractions that bring many holidaymakers from South Africa and abroad to the town each year.
The placid Knysna Lagoon is excellent for scuba diving as well as oysters, with the sandstone cliffs of The Heads overlooking above. The town itself is home to many artists, with a number of galleries, craft shops and other fascinating things to see.
In the surrounding forests, a range of bird, plant and animal life can be seen, including the famous Loerie. Years ago, you may even have found elephant in the forest; however none have been seen here for many years.
