Garden Route Accommodation
The Garden Route is a long stretch of coastline that is flanked by mountains, with a winding road in the middle. The combination of endless beaches and forest-covered mountains is how this region found its name. A number of towns comprise of the Garden Route, including Hermanus, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Oudtshoorn and George. At the end of the route, the magical Tsitsikamma National Park can be found. The park is a highly protected haven for a wide range of bird species, along with huge trees and other forest vegetation.
As you may expect from such a diverse region, Accommodations in Garden Route varies from town to town. You may find luxurious hotel and spa resorts in one town, cheery guest houses in another town and safari lodges or even tree house dwellings within Tsitsikamma. Most towns offer a mixture of all types of accommodation, with varying prices depending on the season.
