Why Visit Cradock?

  • Cradock Overview

What makes Cradock special however is that it is a town largely untouched by time. While the town centre has slowly developed, many of the original buildings and even oak trees have been left as they were during Cradock’s early days, which results in a quaint town with a diverse blend of influences dating back to the original Boer settlers and the subsequent British occupation.

While the nightlife is not quite vibrant, a visit to one of the local restaurants or bars offers the chance to meet local farmers and residents, and learn more about the town’s rich history. A number of charming accommodation options can be found within the town and its surrounds, with guest houses and bed and breakfasts being found in good supply.
