Accommodation in Botswana
Botswana accommodation largely consists of safari lodges, tented camps and other safari accommodation. There are also some guest farms, guest houses and bed and breakfasts, and the cities have a selection of hotels.
For the most part, visitors come to Botswana to take advantage of the game reserves and natural habitats found within the country, and Botswana Accommodation is designed to make the most of the surrounding environment. Many lodges and tented camps have a focus on sustainable materials, to impact the environment as little as possible. Safari accommodation varies in price, with higher prices during peak season. The more luxurious camps and lodges boast en-suite bathrooms and 5-star dining, while the simpler camps offer a comfortable base from which to explore the area.
Most of the top lodges and camps are found within Chobe National Park, Moremi Game Reserve and the numerous reserves found within the Okavanago and Kalahari areas. A number of these lodges offer integrated activities as part of the accommodation package, with game viewing and other pursuits on offer.
