When to Go
Summer (November to February) is best for game viewing, as wildlife can be found around the few waterholes.
Winter is colder, especially at night, with rain occasionally occurring. The coldest months are June and July.
Getting There & Getting Around
Getting To Addo Elephant National Park
You can travel to Addo Elephant National Park, South Africa, via transfer organised by one of the lodges in the reserve, which can take you from Cape Town or Port Elizabeth into the park.
International flights can be taken to Cape Town International Airport, with domestic flights available at Port Elizabeth.
Self-drive from Cape Town or Port Elizabeth is also an option, with excellent roads and plenty of great views.

Getting Around Addo Elephant National Park
Getting around Addo Elephant National Park is mostly done via safari vehicles. Game drives throughout day. Self-drive safaris may be an option, but as there is free roaming wildlife throughout the reserve, it is best to take precaution on your Addo Elephant Park tour.
