Deception Valley Lodge is an immaculate oasis set deep in the heart of the Kalahari Desert of Botswana, however it is not far from the famous Okavango Delta.
At Deception Valley Lodge one is able to experience the vastness of the Kalahari whilst enjoying abundant bird life, game viewing or star gazing by night. This lodge tends to boast pure comfort and vibrant, rustic interiors, accommodating up to 16 guests sharing.
Set amidst the arid and remote Kalahari bush, the lodge pays every attention to detail, ensuring not only a completely novel guest experience but also an environmentally pleasing haven consistent with its natural surroundings.
The main complex incorporates a dining room, lounge and bar area. Views from the deck include the nearby watering hole, which is ideal for those lazy game viewing days. A small library lies in wait for the book lover whilst the curio shop makes for some retail therapy. The option is there for the taking.
By daylight, the swimming pool provides a cool refuge from the warm African sun whilst by nightfall the boma offers a social fireplace to warm oneself over a drink.

The Kalahari is notorious for its arid yet thriving ecosystem. Animals and plants have learnt to adapt to this harsh environment and flourish.
The lodge overlooks a waterhole which gives prime viewing at all times of the day.
Room Features
The units available at Deception Valley Lodge are raised upon stilts and connected via wooden walkways. There are 8 double suites, each consisting of state of the art finishes and furnishings. With a spacious lounge and viewing deck in each unit, as well as an en-suite Victorian style bathroom with an outside shower, guests are guaranteed the best of nature and luxury combined. Unique to Deception Valley Lodge is the private and exclusive Kalahari Manor, which consists of a private “villa” type concept.
