Blaauwbosch Private Game Lodge is situated deep in the majestic mountains of Blaauwbosch in the Eastern Cape, with dramatic views down the valleys and ravines. Guests feel their senses liven with the encounters of the African bush, with game drives led by professional guides, each of whom have extensive Big Five game knowledge, which means the likelihood of actually spotting one these majestic wildlife creatures is excellent.
Visitors to the private game reserve are also treated to one of Blaauwbosch's specialties - an African wildlife "walk and stalk" safari. This exciting safari involves the shadowing of the fastest of all land hunters, the cheetah, as it stalks its prey.
With each room beautifully decorated in an African theme, room features such as private dressing rooms, full bathrooms, dressing gowns and private verandas boasting views of the surrounding bush, guests are sure to feel right at home. Blaauwbosch Private Game Lodge is situated just off the R75 route from Port Elizabeth to Graaff Reinet. As a private game reserve, guests can see the famous Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo) along with an abundance of other wildlife such as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, antelope. Birdlife is equally rich, with a number of rare and endemic species to be seen.
